"Compassion Hand" social shop, which is the joint project of Association of Ankara 1st District Public Hospitals and Ankara Branch of the Turkish Red Crescent was opened in Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women's Health Education and Research Hospital.
Consisting of two sections and occupying a space of 40 square meters, the Compassion Hand social shop was prepared as a location where the needy mothers who have recently given birth in the hospital and their babies can benefit at any time of the day. Newborn babies and their mothers will be able to have a free access to the clothes, diapers, hygiene materials as well as to such items as toys and baby food, donated by the philanthropists.

Speaking at the opening of the Compassion Hand social store, Prof. Dr. Meric Fatma Yilmaz, the Secretary General of the Association of Ankara 1st District Public Hospitals and the Board Member of Turkish Red Crescent, said “As the association and associated healthcare facilities, we give importance to social responsibility projects along with the health services. We have provided them with every kind of support which will make them feel at home environment. We will continue this type of work in the future as well. I extend my deep gratitude to the volunteers and donors of the Turkish Red Crescent for their invaluable supports. We meet the needs of our citizens thanks to our philanthropists. I wish that our philanthropists do not spare their supports so that we can reach more people in need.”
