Uluca stated that the Turkish Red Crescent delivers humanitarian aid around the world including the up-to-date delivery of medicine to Gaza.

“Special tents for psychosocial program and needlework practices are present. As you can see playgrounds are established especially for children. We have almost 1700 guests from Syria in Altınözü Camp. Nearly thousand of them are composed of children. Somebody has to take care of them. Among those children some of them are not accompanied and they miss their mothers and fathers. They are our children. We, the Turkish Red Crescent staff, are doing our best to make the Syrian children feel comfortable. We are establishing playgrounds.” Uluca said. “Our only expectation is to see a smile on their faces” he added.

Jolie: "The children are very happy here"

Angelina Jolie, UN Goodwill Ambassador, mentioned that the Turkish Red Crescent has the capacity to get through much more than this situation. “This is a job you do incredibly beautiful. My colleagues from the United Nations cannot hide their astonishment for the services provided by the Turkish Red Crescent. Children are quite easily talking about losing their parents and witnessing bombs, which is something incredible. Thanks to the support provided by the Turkish Red Crescent. In general, children under these conditions would not prefer to talk about these issues. Ordinarily they are frightened. However the children here are telling me that they are very happy and added that they love Turkey. Hopefully the situation in Syria will not last so long. I have considered the Turkish Red Crescent staff as incredible people who managed to do incredible things. You are truly amazing people and we will always be together” Jolie said finally.
