Syrian orphans, who have lost their relatives at civil war in their countries and took shelter in nurseries in Kilis, delivered their pocket moneys that have been donated by benevolent citizens to Turkish Red Crescent for the sake of the Rakhine Muslims. Meryem Tecan, a Syrian mom, who has not left those benefactor children alone, told that she had been petrified to seen the incidents in Rakhine while watching television with her children and added:

“Those people were being tortured. My children got depressed, upset and told me ‘mom, we have suffered a lot in Syria but these children should not be like us, let us send our pocket money to our sisters and brothers out there’. May Allah bless Turkey for opening its doors to us, for helping us. Likewise, we had to lend a helping hand to them. Maybe it’s not much but that’s what we can do for now”.
