Winter Aid for People in Need in Iraq Has Taken Start

Carrying out an extensive operation in the country to provide aid for tens of thousands people who left their home and live as immigrants in their own country because of the attacks of terror organization DEAŞ since 2014, Turkish Red Crescent realizes a new action within the country due to the oncoming cold weather.

Delivering food, clothing and hygiene material to 500 people in need in Soran district of Erbil under Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Administration (KRG), Red Crescent also plans to deliver winter clothes to needy 2 thousand 700 families and approximately 10 thousand people in Zaho district of Duhok.

Stating that the aid operations continue with the cooperation of Iraqi Red Crescent, Head of Iraqi Humanitarian Aid Delegation of Turkish Red Crescent Utku Akbaş notes that a well-arranged operation to meet the needs of people especially taking shelter in camps is carried out and a winter clothe and food aid will also be delivered to 10 thousand people soon.
