Türk Kızılay Delivers Urgent Aid for Bosnia and Herzegovina Flood Disaster

The heavy rainfall that began on October 3, 2024, in Bosnia and Herzegovina led to widespread flooding in many regions. Severe flooding in cities such as Jablanica, Konjic, Fojnica, and Kresevo resulted in significant damage to homes, businesses, and roads. The disaster has claimed dozens of lives, and many people have been evacuated to safer areas. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

Immediately following the disaster, Türk Kızılay coordinated with the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina to initiate humanitarian aid efforts. The Türk Kızılay Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina provided food and water to those affected by the flood. In addition, hygiene kits, food parcels, and drinking water were distributed to address urgent needs in the region. Water drainage equipment was also delivered to local authorities to support efforts to mitigate the effects of the flooding.

Türk Kızılay, in cooperation with the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, continues to carry out humanitarian aid activities in the region. Assistance will continue until the flood’s effects are completely eliminated.
