Born in Ankara in 1975, she graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. She completed her medical specialisation training at Ankara Training and Research Hospital. Yılmaz worked as a chief assistant at Ankara Training and Research Hospital between 2003 and 2010. In 2008, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor, and in 2010, she served as Deputy Chief of Clinic at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. In 2011, Yılmaz was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Yıldırım Beyazıt Faculty of Medicine, and in 2014, she earned the title of Professor at Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

Between 2012 and 2015, she served as the Educational and Administrative Supervisor of the Biochemistry Laboratory and as the Laboratory Coordinator at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. From 2015 to 2016, she was the Secretary General of the Ankara 1st Regional Public Hospitals Association, and from 2016 to 2017, she served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.

Yılmaz has numerous national and international publications. She is currently a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Yıldırım Beyazıt University and serves as an instructor at the Medical Biochemistry Clinic of Ankara City Hospital.

In addition, Yılmaz is a member of the TÜBİTAK BİDEP Advisory Board, a member of the Ministry of Health’s Medical Laboratory Science Board, and a full member of the IFCC C-NPU Commission.

From 2015 to 2023, Prof. Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent. On 9 July 2023, she was elected President of the Turkish Red Crescent at the Extraordinary General Assembly.

In 2023, she was listed among the “World’s Most Influential Scientists” by Stanford University. In April 2025, she was appointed by the President of Türkiye as Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Local Government and Disaster Policies Council. Married with three children, Yılmaz speaks English fluently.

On 5 May 2025, she was re-elected President of the Turkish Red Crescent at the General Assembly and continues to hold this position.

Mustafa Sarılar was born in Sivas in 1956 and completed the early stages of his education in the same city. After high school, he pursued higher education at the Faculty of Dentistry, Marmara University. Throughout his professional career, he has been actively involved in the distribution, marketing, logistics, and tourism sectors.

Sarılar has held significant leadership positions, including Speaker of the Chamber of Commerce Assembly, Member of the OYAK General Assembly, and Delegate to the TOBB General Assembly. He continues to serve as a Member of the Chamber of Commerce Assembly, a Member of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Cumhuriyet University Foundation, and is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Sarılar is married with three children. He currently serves as the First Vice President of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Born in Sivas in 1992, he completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Fatih University, he completed a master’s degree in Human Resources Management at Istanbul Aydın University.

Since his high school years, Koç has been involved in various civil society activities. Between 2012 and 2015, he served in different roles at the National Turkish Student Union and the Birlik Foundation. In 2017, he became the founding president of Young Red Crescent (Genç Kızılay). He also serves as a board member of TGSP (Türkiye Youth Foundation Platform).

Koç began his professional career in the family business and currently continues his career in his own company. He is currently serving as the Second Vice President of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Ramazan Saygılı was born in 1963 in the Saimbeyli district of Adana. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Business Administration and earned a master’s degree in Management and Organisation from Çukurova University. He has been managing the companies he founded for 37 years.

Saygılı took part in the establishment of the MÜSİAD Adana branch and served in various roles within the organisation. He has also held various political positions. In 2011, he was elected President of the Turkish Red Crescent Adana Branch. In 2012, he launched an intensive blood donation campaign across Adana’s central and rural branches, setting a national record for blood donations in Türkiye. Through the educational and awareness activities he led, Adana became one of the leading provinces in the country for blood donations.

Having made significant contributions to civil society in Adana, Saygılı describes himself as someone who has always been at the main arteries of the civilisation journey that began in ancient times. He is married, the father of four children, and the grandfather of five. He is currently serving as the Secretary General of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Şükrü Can was born in 1968 in the Kelkit district of Gümüşhane. He completed his secondary education at Erzincan Imam Hatip High School and graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Anadolu University.

Between 1986 and 1989, he served as a staff member of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Gümüşhane and Bingöl. He later worked in the Clerkship–Board Secretariat of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and as an Advisor to the President at the Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority. Since 2003, he has held managerial positions at various levels of government.

From 2016 to 2019, he served as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Mamak Branch, and from 2019 to 2022, as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Altındağ Branch. He has also been a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.

He is married and the father of seven children. He is currently serving as the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Esra Özkoç was born in Antalya in 1972 and completed most of her education in Diyarbakır and Elazığ. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Dicle University in 1995. In 1996, she completed her legal internship as a registered member of the Antalya Bar Association, where she also volunteered in the children’s rights and social activities commissions.

In 2012, she joined the Antalya Provincial Executive Board of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and served as Chairwoman of the AK Party Antalya Provincial Women’s Branch between 2013 and 2017. During her tenure, she was involved in organisational work, humanitarian aid, and social activities.

Since 2019, Özkoç has been serving as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Antalya Branch. She is married to Özkan Özkoç, who is also a lawyer, and they have a son named Emir. She continues to practise law independently at the law firm she co-founded with her husband.

In addition to her professional career, she has undertaken mediation training—an alternative dispute resolution method—and has been participating in foreign language courses to contribute to international volunteer work. She continues to dedicate the experience gained over her 25-year legal career to voluntary efforts at the Turkish Red Crescent.

She is currently serving as a Member of the Turkish Red Crescent Central Board of Directors and as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Women’s Coordination.

Yener Tanık was born in Siirt in 1972. He completed his undergraduate studies at Atatürk University, Faculty of Health Sciences, and earned his master’s degree in Health Institutions Management at the same university.

In 2002, he was elected as a board member of the Turkish Red Crescent Siirt Branch. In 2004, he was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Provincial Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, re-elected in 2013, and continues to serve in this role.

In 2006, he became a member of the Sağlık-Sen Union, affiliated with the Siirt branch of the Memur-Sen Confederation, and in the 2007 congress, he was elected as a board member. In 2013, he was appointed as a member of the Siirt Governorship’s Human Rights Board.

In 2016, he served as Deputy Mayor of Siirt for 11 months. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Public Hospital Services at the Siirt Provincial Health Directorate. He speaks English, Arabic, and Kurdish. He is married and the father of three children.

He is currently a Member of the Central Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Zübeyde Hümeyra Çelik was born in Bayburt in 1972 and completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Bayburt. She earned her associate degree in Accounting from Anadolu University Open Education Faculty.

In 1990, she began her professional career at the Social Security Institution. From 2009 to 2020, she served as Head of the Unit for Combating Unregistered Employment. Between 2015 and 2019, she chaired the Women’s Commission of the Bureau Officers’ Union (Büro Memur Sen).

As Vice President of the Bayburt Women’s Solidarity and Assistance Association, she contributed to providing employment opportunities and support for many women in Bayburt. While continuing her role in the association, she became involved with the Turkish Red Crescent, serving on the Board of Directors of the Bayburt Branch from 2013 to 2019, after which she was appointed President of the Bayburt Branch.

During her tenure as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Bayburt Branch, she also served as a board member of the Gez Hanları Ecological Agriculture Research and Production Centre Association (GEZEKODER), established to recover, multiply, diversify, and improve the productivity of heirloom seeds.

In addition, she served as a trustee of the Bayburt Social Assistance Foundation in 2021 and 2022. She is married and the mother of two children.

She is currently serving as a Member of the Central Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Ömer Faruk Çalışkan was born in Istanbul in 1994 and completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. In 2017, he graduated from Istanbul Şehir University with a degree in International Trade and Business Management. After completing part of his education abroad, he returned to Türkiye.

Since 2012, Çalışkan has been actively involved in various NGOs and humanitarian aid organisations. In 2017, he began serving as Founding Vice President of Young Red Crescent (Genç Kızılay) and Head of the Organisation Unit. During his five-year term, he represented the organisation in numerous assignments across various countries and cities.

In 2022, he was appointed President of Young Red Crescent. Alongside his voluntary work at Young Red Crescent, Çalışkan continues his professional career as General Manager of the international health tourism company he founded. He speaks advanced English.

He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Young Red Crescent and as a Member of the Central Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Kamil Karadeniz was born in Izmir in 1970 and completed his primary and secondary education in Karşıyaka. In 1990, he graduated from Izmir Çınarlı Anatolian Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, and in 1992, from the Vocational School of Construction at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir.

Since 1992, he has been serving as Chairman of the Board of the family-founded companies operating in the construction, tourism, food, and automotive sectors. Between 2009 and 2015, he worked as General Manager of the family company Aksan Group.

He has been a member of ETİK (Aegean Touristic Businesses and Accommodation Association) since 2013, and is also a member of BESİAD (Bostanlı Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) and the Diyarbakırlılar Culture and Solidarity Association.

Since 2016, he has served as a member of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Commission of the Karşıyaka District Governorship. Following the 2020 Izmir Earthquake, he became a member of the Post-Disaster Coordination Commission under the Izmir Governorship’s Disaster and Emergency Management authority. Since 2022, he has also served on the Probation Protection Board of the Karşıyaka Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

He is Vice President of the Volleyball Branch of Karşıyaka Sports Club. Kamil Karadeniz is the owner of ESKİDJİ Real Estate Karşıyaka Regional Partnership, Nezir Food, Tourism and Automotive Ltd., and K.D.K Real Estate and Construction companies.

He has served three terms as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Karşıyaka Branch. He is married and the father of two children.

He is currently a Member of the Central Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Semra Tozaraydın was born in Kütahya in 1963. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Anadolu University and completed her master’s degree in Finance at the same university.

Her journalism career, which began in 1979 at the Kütahya Ekspres newspaper, has continued since 2010 as the newspaper’s proprietor. As of 2023, she serves as the company director of Kütahya Ekspres.

In 2018, she became the first female chair among the commissions of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), serving as Chair of the Press and Broadcasting Commission.

Since joining the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) as a council member in 2018, she has held various positions, including serving on the board of directors. In 2021, she served as President of Turkish Red Crescent Women, Kütahya Branch.

She is currently a Member of the Central Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Prof. Dr. İsmet Durmuş was born in Trabzon in 1973 and completed his primary and secondary education in Sürmene. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Uludağ University in 1997.

Between 1998 and 2005, he served as a general practitioner and specialist physician. In 2006, he became a lecturer at Karadeniz Technical University. Durmuş was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and, since 2014, has served as chief physician at various training and research hospitals.

He is currently serving as President of the Central Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Mustafa Umut Yalçın was born in Malatya in 1976 and completed his secondary education in Muğla. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Dokuz Eylül University. He has held managerial positions at various levels in civil society organisations and politics.

Since 2002, he has been practising law as a member of the Malatya Bar Association. Since 2014, he has also served at the Malatya Courthouse as an expert witness, mediator, and conciliator.

He is currently serving as Vice President of the Central Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Selman Keresteci was born in Manisa in 1978 and completed his primary and secondary education in Manisa and Izmir. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Manisa Celal Bayar University.

He began his professional career in the family occupation of farming and, in later years, combined agriculture with commercial activities. Between 2011 and 2014, he held various roles in politics. From 2014 to 2019, he served as a municipal council member of Şehzadeler Municipality and continues to serve as a council member of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality.

From 2016 to 2019, he was a board member of the Turkish Red Crescent Manisa Branch, and from 2019 to 2022, he served as Branch President. He is married and the father of two children.

He is currently serving as a Member–Rapporteur of the Central Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Zuzan Hasibe Beytul was born in 1988 in Pervari, Siirt. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Business Administration at Anadolu University and her master’s degree in Management and Organisation from Marmara University.

In her career as a certified public accountant, she has held managerial positions in various private sector organisations. From her consulting office in Istanbul, she provides professional services in accounting, finance, tax consultancy, and government incentives.

Between 2021 and 2024, during her tenure as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Istanbul Sultanbeyli Branch Women’s Unit, she implemented projects that promoted women’s volunteerism. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Marmara Region Coordinator of the Turkish Red Crescent Women’s Coordination Board.

She is currently serving as a Member of the Central Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.

Prof. Dr. Nur Çetin graduated as the top student of her class from the History Department of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi International Turkish–Kazakh University in 1995 and completed her second bachelor’s degree in Public Administration in 2005. She earned her master’s degree in 1998 and her PhD in 2003 from Ahmet Yesevi University.

She received the title of Associate Professor in 2006 and became a Professor in 2016 in the field of International Relations. She has held various administrative positions at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and is currently serving as Director of the Research and Application Centre, Head of the Department of International Relations, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Her academic work focuses on the Turkic World, Türkiye–Turkic World relations, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Russian foreign policy, Türkiye–Russia relations, and post-Soviet regional developments. She has nearly 80 publications in her field, in four different languages, published in Türkiye, Sweden, the Netherlands, Romania, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan. She has also participated as a speaker and invited speaker in numerous national and international meetings, congresses, and conferences.

Since 2022, she has been serving as President of the Turkish Red Crescent Women’s Branch in Kırşehir. She is currently a Member of the Central Supervisory Board of the Turkish Red Crescent.
