Was born in Ankara in 1975. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Ankara University. Completed her career education in Medicine in Ankara Education and Research Hospital.
Served as chief assistant in the same hospital. Got her her Associate Professorship title in 2008. Yılmaz worked as Assistant Clinic Chief in Ankara Education and Research Hospital. Was assigned as Associate Professor to the Department of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Medicine of Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Yılmaz became a Professor in the same university and took the administrative responsibility and served as Laboratory Coordinator.
Between 2015-2016, he served as the General Secretary of Ankara 1st Regional Public Hospitals Association; He served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health between 2016 and 2017.
Yılmaz, who has many published articles nationally and internationally, currently teaches at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Department of Medical Biochemistry. He works as a Lecturer and Lecturer at Ankara City Hospital Medical Biochemistry Clinic.
Yılmaz is also a member of the TÜBİTAK BİDEP Advisory Board, a member of the Medical Laboratory Science Board of the Ministry of Health, and is registered as a principal in the IFCC C-NPU commission.
She has been registered with the Turkish Red Crescent Board of Directors since 2015 and currently serves as the President of the Red Crescent Women's Coordination Board.
At the Red Crescent General Assembly held on July 9, 2023, Prof. Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz was elected as the President of the Red Crescent.
Yılmaz, who is married and the mother of three children, speaks English well.
