In-Kind Donation

You can support local and international humanitarian aid activities of Turkish Red Crescent with your in-kind donations. 
 
Our Institution accepts shelter, food, clothing, stationery, hygiene items, electronic device, furniture, etc. goods and articles as in-kind donation.

Among acceptable are the donations made by natural and legal persons via grant of the right of use of real estate and items for a certain period as well and invoice and services in place of invoice.   
 
  1. REAL ESTATE DONATIONS

Always standing by the people in need via different donation methods, Red Crescent now accepts Real Estate Donation, a brand-new donation option.  With this new donation option, benevolent people will undersign an invaluable help and be a part of benevolence for many years to come by donating their real estate.  
 
Your real estate donations are accepted on the basis of following criteria;
The real estate to be donated;
- must have title deed; must not have mortgage, annotation, attachment, etc. established on the title deed,
- must be free of any legal issues such as inheritance and other issues on the title deed,
- must not be located on a conservation area, green area, flooding zone, municipality expropriation area, security and archeological site.
Real Estate Donation takes place via two methods, as conditional, and unconditional.
 
A-) Conditional and Unconditional Real Estate Donations
1-) Unconditional Donation: Our Society official visits related title deed office, along with our donor.  Title deed of the property is transferred to our society.  Since our society is tax-exempt, no tax or charge will be payable by donor.  In these kinds of donations, no rights of donor remains on the real estate and ownership of the real estate is transferred to our society. 
 
2-a) Donation Conditioned to Retention of Occupation Right:  Our Society official visits related title deed office, along with our donor. Donor transfers the stripped-ownership right of real estate to our society, however, retains the occupation right with an annotation inserted in the title deed.  Ownership of the real estate remains with donor until death of the donor.  Donor has right to use the real estate in any way.  Donor may him/herself stay in the real estate or let it out.  However, donor cannot sell or transfer it.  In case of death, after completion of legal procedures, occupation right of said real estate passes to our society which will enjoy the full-ownership.
 
b) Donations Conditioned to Stay at Old People's Home; Pursuant to our Regulation, 10 years total amount of the expenses to be incurred while you stay in our old people's home you wish to stay must be equal or above the value of the real estate you will donate to us.  When you decide staying in the old people's home, you can give up the right to occupy the real estate you donated, and settle in our old people's homes whenever you want.
 
c) Other Conditional Donations;
Donations, by your or one of your relatives, conditioned to the special requirements other than listed above will be evaluated by our Board of Directors, and, if found appropriate, then your donation is accepted.   
For all your conditional real estate donations you have made, a Letter of Guarantee is issued by our Institution to you.
Our professional team will accompany you during procedures at title deed office, and nothing will be charged to you for procedures.   After completion of all legal procedures, the doors to your new life at Red Crescent will be opened.  Real Estate Donation Requests to be made to Red Crescent are accepted after affirmative decision of our Board, being the authority in these requests.
B-) Donation via will:
If a donor wants to bequeath the real estate he/she owns to Turkish Red Crescent after his/her death, he/she issues a will before a notary public.
If donor requests us to issue his/her will, then information about will preparation procedures will be provided by our personnel to him/her, and the all notary costs shall be paid by our institution.
 
PROCEDURE FOR YOUR REAL ESTATE DONATION REQUESTS
 
For your real estate donation requests to our society according to the donation method you opted in;

Your requests will be reviewed by Board of Directors of Society and the result will be notified to you.
